St. James' Parish offers you the convenient opportunity to donate to several causes & community efforts. You are likely already aware that you can donate to the Primate's World Relief & Development Fund (PWRDF), the Mahone Bay & Area Food Bank, and now you can also donate to the school lunch program at Bayview School, helping to provide good lunches to kids who need them. Simply make your cheque out to St. James' and make a note what it’s for, if it’s intended for one of these worthwhile efforts.

Pre-Authorized Remittance (PAR) is a way of giving your weekly offerings by automatic monthly deductions on your credit card or from your bank account. If you are interested, there is information and forms at the back of the church or see Debbie Smeltzer. Or please see our Links & Resources Page and click on Diocese NS & PEI link. from there go under Resourses and you will find our Pre Authorized Remittance information.

Anyone who would like to donate bottles for the CBL, are asked to drop them off by the garage doors beside the Parish Hall. For more info, contact Tom Ernst 902-624-6133

Ukrainian Humanitarian Relief PWRDF is providing help for the Ukranian refugees who are fleeing in large numbers from the brutal Russian invasion of their country. Millions of women and children have left their homeland for the shelter of neighbouring countries, requiring a huge humanitarian response. Donations may be made through, or by phone 877-936-9199, or by using a separate envelope on the offering plate. You are encouraged to help with this crisis by donating to this urgent need.

Skye Consort & Emma Björling
Musique Royale announces a province-wide concert tour featuring the incredible "Trans-Atlantic” chamber folk music by Skye Consort & Swedish Singer Emma Björling, part of our 37th Summer Festival! With an intoxicating mix of whirling polskas, groovy reels, passionate love songs and breathtaking hymns, Skye Consort and Emma Bjorling have enchanted audiences near and far with their unique mix of Celtic music as well as traditional music from Quebec, Sweden and Norway and beyond. Singing, and playing fiddle, nyckelharpa, cello, and cittern, these extraordinary musicians have been called “breathtaking” by CBC Music on their recent album and Sweden’s Lira Music Magazine praised them saying "it would be hard to find something better than this”. The provincewide tour is from August 9-14th where we will be visiting Margaretsville, Arichat, Baddeck, Maitland, Wolfville, and Lunenburg.
